Joe B. Hall Favoring Petrino?

Posted by Jonathan on 11 Nov 2012 / 1 Comment

Some very interesting news on the search for a new football coach as former Kentucky basketball coach, Joe. B Hall, has let his opinion known.  Larry Vaught was kind enough to get the word out on Hall’s thoughts, some of which brought light to situations Petrino encountered while head coach at Louisville and the Atlanta Falcons.  Everything Hall says in the piece sounds like hearsay so my skepticism is present but I’m also not one to call Joe B. a liar so I’m going to have to take him at his word.  As “Petrino to UK” speculation has increased over the past week, I’m starting to warm up to the idea of Petrino coaching in Commonwealth and this news only pushes me towards wanting Petrino.  I know I’m in the minority here at sportsheartbeat.com, but taking a chance on Petrino could be great for Kentucky and having the chance to beat Louisville with their old head coach is priceless.  I’d really like to know the opinion of Big Blue Nation on this polarizing topic so feel free to let your thoughts known in the comments.

Besides him leaving the Falcons by writing a note, anyone who is dumb enough to bring the girl he is having an affair with into a paid position in the organization should not be hired as a football coach. Not to mention his having an affair in the 1st place, which is wrong in and of itself. I just can’t see a good guy like Barnhart hiring a man with as many external issues and baggage as he’s got.
